Saw in the showroom while getting the RRS serviced. $105k on the sticker. Looks good but the damn thing is too quiet. Someone in the market for the craziest 550-hp Jaguar sedan wants more than a whisper at full throttle. Otherwise they'd buy a XFR or regular XF.

I love the irony that a former British colony has stewarded over two iconic British companies as they begin producing some of the most ridiculously awesome cars they have ever made.

You just reminded me that I saw my first XFR in the wild yesterday. Haven't seen an XFR-S yet, because rarity.

I saw a blue one of these at a dealer in Sarasota while I was on vacation. I haven't seen any on the road here though

I like that car. I don't think this is anything a few well-placed holes in the muffler/cat wouldn't fix.

My thought when I saw it in person: that's a jaaaaggggggg [coughs in disbelief when getting around to rear quarter pannel and back of car] OH DEAR LORD, what have they done, the monsters?!?!? Whhhhyyyy???

If it's anything like my RR Sport (same basic engine) there are three silencers before the muffler and cutting out the big one in the middle fixes a good deal if the muffle without droning.

Personally, I like loud, fast cars. With that said, I also appreciate a nice, fast luxury car that doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME BECAUSE I HAVE A HUGE ASS ENGINE AND WILL MAKE YOUR EARS BLEED". It is completely reasonable that some people want this car to be as loud as it is fast.
I just wouldn't do it if I owned one.
